Clear Stamping
Saturday, September 26th, 2009I’ve gotten back into my crafty habbits the last few months and it has been so nice. Long time since I even felt the urge to really put my creativity to the test and the results have been mixed. I wish my hobbies weren’t so expensive at times, but I guess that’s just how it goes.
Clear stamp collecting (and crafting with!) has become a new passion of mine. I picked up 3 new sets from My Favorite Things (link on the sidebar) and they are gorgeous! The sets are: By the Seashore (Mini Set), Party Girl by Amanda Baird (Full Set), and Hare for the Holidays (Full Set). I got a pretty good bargin on these stamps as well, with the price tag coming to $29.65 with shipping. Excellent deal considering the full retail price for just the stamp sets would have been $40.90 and then $2.95 for shipping. I saved a total of $14.20 and that is money you can’t sneeze at these days. And after taking another look on their website, the only set I can still see for sale is By the Sea Shore, but it’s been marked back up to its full retail value of $9. Hmmm… glad I picked up these sets when I did then! Just need to pick up some CD cases to put these in and label them.
Today I had the joys of purchasing and watching the newsest DC animated feature length film featuring everyone’s favorite amazon with a laso–Wonder Woman. I do have to say it was a fun romp into fantasy and I did quite enjoy watching it. While I will do my best to keep this review not-so-spoilery-that-you-can’t-watch it, I cannot promise anything won’t be revealed in this review. So you have been warned, ladies and gents!
To start off my cold cast porceline collection of statues and busts, I decided it would be fitting to start with my absolute favorite character of all time: Catwoman.
